CASE HX160L – Engine Recalibration by Agroecopower
The CASE HX160L is a 16-ton crawler excavator designed for demanding earthmoving work. With its long-carriage undercarriage, the machine maintains solid stability when reaching further with the boom or handling heavier materials. The HX Series is known for precise hydraulic control, quick reaction times, and a comfortable operator environment with a clear overview of the job site.
The machine is powered by a Tier 4 Final diesel engine producing roughly 160 horsepower. It offers dependable low-end torque, making the excavator effective when cutting into hard soil or working in conditions where steady pulling force is required. Combined with CASE’s refined hydraulic system, the HX160L performs smoothly and consistently across a wide range of tasks.
Agroecopower ECU Optimization
For this model, Agroecopower carried out a dedicated ECU software recalibration. The goal was to adjust the power characteristics so the machine responds more confidently under load and maintains performance even when working conditions change rapidly.
This optimization provides, among other benefits:
- Higher power available across a broader RPM range,
- Stronger and more reliable digging force in heavy or compacted soil,
- Smoother overall engine behavior when the load fluctuates,
- Lower energy demand during regular daily operation.
Each recalibration is tailored specifically to the HX160L’s engine configuration and operating environment. The result is an excavator that delivers more confident performance, maintains stronger pulling capability, and uses fuel more efficiently on demanding U.S. job sites.
