Claas was founded in 1913 by August Claas in Carlholz, Germany. In 1934, the company produced its the first independent baler. Two years later, Class started selling its first combine harvester. In 2003, Claas acquired a majority share in the agricultural division of Renault, and all Renault's tractors today are produced under the brand Claas.
Currently, the company has its manufacturing facilities located throughout the world.
