What is Performance Optimization?

The process does not involve any mechanical interference in the engine. Agroecopower offers modification of software, namely reprogramming of EPROM (Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory), that is an electronic memory block with a serial program in the control unit. The advantage is that the reprogrammed control unit "is aware" of its reprogramming, thus Scanbus communication is not affected. Therefore, for instance, if on-line fuel consumption was monitored, it did not compromise the real data.

What Does the Service Involve?

Agroecopower technicians arrive to the customer and agree on the requirements and expectations. To preserve the life of both the engine and other components and to meet applicable emission standards, performance can be enhanced only to a limited extent. Before the SW modification takes place, we carry out diagnostics and back up the original software via the On-Board Diagnostics connector or directly from the control unit via the BDM interface. Therefore, any adjustment of the control unit can reversed at any time. The new software is individually designed for a given engine in order to preserve its life and then uploaded back into the control unit. After the adjustment, full computer and performance diagnostics is performed. Naturally, you will have a test drive and will be issued a warranty card. At your discretion, you can request refund and restoration of the original software within five days after the software modification.
 

What Exactly Does the Software modification Improve?

Software modifications optimally adjust injection parameters, air-fuel ratio, injection duration, pressure, fuel amount, and also the torque limiter. A graph would clearly indicate an increase in torque and power. Using such software modifications, the performance of turbo diesel engines can be increased by 5 - 30 % and torque by 5 - 25 %. Also, the torque curve has a better performance in the low- to mid-speed range. The reduction in fuel consumption can be up to 5 - 18 %.
